Welcome to the first edition of Namaste! The word Namaste is Hindu and means “The God in me greets the God in you. The Spirit in me meets the same Spirit in you. Namaste recognizes the equality of all, and pays homage to the sacredness of all.”

Dear Fellow Seekers of the Truth

Can you believe we have been in our church for a
year and a half? It is amazing how our lives flow
by as Spirit gently guides us to newer and higher
levels of knowing we are one with our Creator. I
hope for you, as it has been for me, a wonderful
ride. I feel that each and every one of you are part
of this growing family.

We have accomplished a lot in a short time. We
celebrated our Dedication and Installation Services. Both of these occasions were wonderful bonding experiences for us and our community. Looking forward we will soon have our Third Annual Service in the Park. Yes, I said third! All willing hands will be needed to set up and hold this community event. In October we will gather for our second Core Council Retreat.

I am reminded of Zelda’s words a few weeks ago in service. She has been touched by all of us and by the words Landon has so beautifully composed in our welcome song, just as we have been touched by her words. We have also been blessed in so many ways with all the gifts that each of us contribute in our own loving way. It is no accident that we are here. It is truly the Spirit of God that has directed us to serve in the Valencia County area. I encourage each of you to bring your gifts forward; don't be shy.

If you would like to read the Spiritual reading, usher, greet or provide any volunteer service, please see Kathy Mathiason and she will be happy to include you in the schedule.

As we live our lives, filled with the love of Spirit and invite guests to our services we will continue to grow.

With love and respect for each of you,

Jo Stasi, Chair CORE Council

If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for a passionate sense of what might be, for the eye, whichever young and ardent - sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating as possibility!

Soren Kierkegaard
